When to Visit

  • The Museum operates seasonally with extended hours during major events and airshows
  • Weekends typically offer the best chance to see aircraft activity and interact with volunteers
  • Special events (airshow, Living History Days, restoration open houses) provide expanded access and programs

What to Bring

  • Comfortable walking shoes (most exhibits are indoors but some outdoor walking is required)
  • Camera or smartphone (personal photography encouraged)
  • Weather-appropriate clothing — our hangars are not climate-controlled. Dress for the season and outdoor temperatures.
  • Curiosity and questions — our volunteers love to share their knowledge!

Family Friendly

  • Children of all ages are welcome
  • Interactive exhibits and aircraft walk-arounds make it engaging for younger visitors
  • Please supervise children near aircraft and vehicles for safety

Frequently Asked Questions

For preservation and safety, interior access to some aircraft is limited. However, certain aircraft - like our C‑47A Whiskey 7, An-2R, C-119 & C-130 - are open for walk-throughs during tours. Our volunteers are always happy to answer questions and point out features from ground level.

At select times during the season, the Museum operates a Ride Program offering passenger flights in historic aircraft (subject to availability, weather, and aircraft scheduling). Check current ride schedules and book flights here, or contact us for aircraft availability.
