National Warplane Museum
At the National Warplane Museum, history isn't just something you see - it's something you experience. Our Rides Program and Living History Days bring aviation heritage to life in ways few museums can offer.
For those seeking a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the Museum offers scheduled passenger flights in select historic aircraft throughout the season. Depending on aircraft availability and scheduling, visitors may have the opportunity to fly aboard iconic warbirds such as the legendary C‑47A Whiskey 7. Feel the rumble of vintage radial engines, witness the world from the same perspective as WWII aircrews, and create unforgettable memories - all while supporting the preservation of these rare flying artifacts.
Several times throughout the season, the Museum hosts special Living History Days — expanded events where visitors can engage with the full scope of our mission. These days often include:
As part of our Living History programming, the Museum offers Hangar Talks, a monthly educational series spotlighting different aircraft or key topics from our collection. Led by our knowledgeable volunteers, these informal talks provide deeper insight into the engineering, history, and personal stories behind each aircraft.
Proceeds fund aircraft maintenance and restoration
